Hey, it’s back to school for new and returning students at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and the Hawaii Community College! Another semester, which means only one thing here at URH…New music and new DJs! Welcome back everyone, and…
…welcome to the University Radio Hilo homepage. From here, you can explore URH and learn all about us. Start by clicking on the listen link above, and tune in to our live 24-7 streaming radio. It will play automatically in a new window, so you can go about your computer business and keep listening.

Are you a responsible, motivated and enthusiastic person, eager to serve the students of UHH and HawCC? We need student members to serve on the Board Of Media Broadcasters, otherwise known as the BOMB.The BOMB oversees University Radio Hilo, and makes important decisions about station staff and policy. BOMB members are given the heavy responsibility of helping run our popular and successful radio station. The duties and commitments can be found on the BOMB section of our website.
The successful applicants must be students in good academic standing, enrolled in at least 6 credits (at either UHH or HawCC), and will begin their term after a short training period. Everyone is encouraged to apply, and student BOMB members will receive a stipend (amount to be determined). Serving on the BOMB is a great way to help make your radio station better, and give back to your university. Plus it looks great on your future Grad school/Job applications! It’s happened, it’s finally here! University Radio Hilo is FINALLY broadcasting in Hilo! You can listen to our Campus AM coverage on the UHH Campus, the HawCC campus, and in “spots” throughout town! Tune in at the top of your dial, 1640 kHz!

URH is now able to take donations online through the UH Foundation website!
Donations to URH and the Board of Media Broadcasting are tax-deductable and will help us reach our goal of becoming an FM station servicing the east side of Hawaii. Your kokua is much appreciated.
